  How Strong Will Your Faith Be?

  16 Note the example of Geydi, a sister from Guatemala. Her husband, Edi, was murdered as they were returning home from a congregation meeting. How has Geydi’s faith helped her to cope with her great sorrow? She states: “Prayer helps me throw my burden on Jehovah, which makes me feel peace. I see Jehovah’s care for me through my family and my friends in the congregation. Staying busy in Jehovah’s service eases my pain and helps me to take one day at a time without worrying too much about tomorrow. After going through this experience, I have learned that no matter what kind of test may come in the future, I will be able to face it with the help of Jehovah, Jesus, and the organization.”

  
  

  
  

  Another troubling Watchtower article that programs its members to be at Kingdom Hall meetings no matter what!

  Shown is a sister grieving over her husband that was murdered. (SUPPOSEDLY) She is holding his tie while grieving. Hours later, she is smiling at the Kingdom Hall answering a Watchtower article. How cruel to say that Jehovah helps with care of this widow, while he could of stopped the murder!

  I’ve seen individuals over the years where they have gone to the meeting the same week as a family member was in serious condition in the hospital or a death in the family. I've seen members attend a meeting the same day they buried a family member.

  Kim Silvio, Legal advisor for JW Watch did a statement, it has been taken down by Reddit.
  Some weeks back Lloyd openly and without warning notified me of his infidelity and engagement with prostitutes on a very regular basis over many years, amongst other matters that don’t need to be specifically mentioned.
  This was shortly before he notified the community that he would be taking a two month break from activism “to re-evaluate my life for the sake of my mental health”.
  I have given great consideration as to whether I should disclose this information to the community and I have considered a few factors; Would I want to know if I were a patron? Yes. Would I want to know if I were a subscriber? Yes. Would I want to know if I were recommending Lloyd for media opportunities? Yes. Would I want to know if I were considering entering into a joint activism project with him? Yes.

  Let me get this straight! Lloyd tells Kim that he went to Thailand on a regular basis and engaged with prostitutes. He notifies the community that he's taking a two month break from activism ''“to re-evaluate my life for the sake of my mental health.” She gives great consideration if she should disclose the information to the community on what a slime ball he is and warn the community that he using their donations to pay for prostitutes.

  My questions are: Did Kim confront Lloyd before he made the announcement or after? Did Kim tell Lloyd that I will post the truth on social media if you refuse to shut the community down? Why didn't Kim make the announcement after Lloyd decided to return making videos?

  I feel sorry for his wife after finding photos of him and who knows what the photos revealed? Lloyd has no respect his wife, and uses the community for financial gain. I have more concern for his wife and children. If his community still contribute and follow Lloyd after this debacle deserve every bit of blame as Lloyd.

  Jim Baker had sex with a church secretary and Jimmy Swaggart has sex with prostitutes. They came back in smaller versions of themselves, because of dumb and gullible church members. Hopefully, Lloyd looses his wife and his followers!

  All he's done is further sacrifice his wife and children for his own ego, a chance to try and excuse himself and to keep his money-making scheme going. Heck, at one point I think he even reads out the names and ages of his kids - WTF is wrong with him?!?

  Why is it when one person attack you on a forum thread eveyone likes to pile on?

  i have noticed this on many many forums.

  so i don't have this forum in mind for this topic.

  so you may have noticed this also, but many times on threads once someone does an attack or a negative comment about someone, or the way they write or anything else on the thread, everyone else seems to just pile on by reaction not thought.

  I have seen these kinds of senseless insults on public forums and always wondered what type of mentality was behind it.

  Here is curmudgeon Farkel ( who I dismissed because he was old ) really giving it to me on this forum years ago after I asked a simple question:

  A quick perusal of this thread confirms what I already had suspected: the alert and informed ones were quick on the draw with the facts and saved me from spouting off.

  What bothers me is the person who started this thread with:

  :Why hasn't there ever been or ever be a mass exodus from the WTS?

  This statement is not only stupid, it is so stupid and beyond stupid, it is an insult to even refer to it as stupid. The first half has been demolished on this thread, but the second half claims (in sloppy English) that there will NEVER be a max exodus from the WTS. That is either the most outrageous claim given the WTS history or a God-Inspired prophecy. The facts prove it to be the former. Dang, semi-literate and ill-informed people are so much fun to mess with!

  To you, sir or madam, I say: "don't open your yapper and make assinine claims about stuff you haven't even bothered to spend 10 minutes researching."

  You are hereby awarded the "clueless twit" award of the day. Hang it on your neck just a foot away from your dunce cap and sit in the corner until you are dismissed. Better yet, just DON'T MAKE CLAIMS THAT WERE PULLED OUT OF YOUR SHORTS without doing a little legwork yourself.

  I'm on YELP. It is a site where you review and rate businesses from airlines, entertainment, handyman services and restaurants. There is a section where you can ask a question and users respond with helpful comments.

  One time I asked, '' How can restaurants raise prices, while portions get smaller...you cannot do both?'' I got responses that were rude and uncalled for. ''Maybe you're just cheap''...''You're getting fat and you need more food to fill your fat stomach''...''Maybe you need to make food at home, since you're so cheap.''

  It's easy to hide behind a keyboard and throw out insults. These people would of never made these comments to my face!

  What this article fails to mention are all the young teens who marry because their pants are on fire, and need to release their hormones. You marry a fellow Jehovah's Witness and supposedly your marriage will grow stronger and happier. Couples will only encounter problems if the they fail to take Jehovah into account.

  After 40 years in the same congregation, I witnessed many divorces ( where one mate cheated on another mate). I witnessed fathers ( who were ministerial servants) fail to provide child support after the couples divorced.

  A few couples divorced and were disfellowshipped due to cheatings on their spouse, only to come back with a new marriage mate years later. I saw more infidelity inside the Kingdom Hall than on the outside!
